Life. Plain and simple. As you may have seen on facebook, my boss passed away this weekend. They believe it was a brain aneurysm. He was 51 years old. He left behind his wife and two kids, one in college and one a senior in high school. So sad. Not to mention all of the people here in our company and in the industry that repected him and looked to him as their mentor.Apparently the big guy upstairs thinks I need a reminder every so often of how precious life is and how quickly it can be taken away. I can't say there are many people in my life that have passed away simply from old age or are in a better place because they had a terminal illness that kept them suffering for a long period of time. Everyone has just been yanked out from under me.
So today, I am thankful for life. Mine and those that surround me every day. My friends, family, coworkers, etc. I mentioned previously that you never know when someone will be gone so don't take for granted the time you spend with them or assume that they know how you feel.
