I didn't sleep very well last night, so I was worried I wouldn't want to get up this morning. I got through day 7 of 30 Day Shred. Only 3 more days in level one and then I move to level 2.
I was telling JB that this workout actually works for me and here's why; there are 3 circuits of strength training/cardio/abs and the workout is only 20 minutes long. The harder exercises are in the first two circuits, so by the time you get to the third, you know you can make it because there is such a short period of time left. All of my muscle groups get worked and I break a really good sweat. It's not long enough for me to get bored and the circuits aren't so long that I don't feel like I can make it through. The whole thing is right up my alley and very doable.
Cardio after work! I'm trying to decide if I want to just head downstairs and knock it out, or if I want to hit up some TKB. Supposedly Jillian is working on some new stuff to be released next year. Can't wait to see what she comes up with.

Bre,
So I am most definitely a lurker, but I do read your blog during my daily google reader fix... I'll have you know I just put the jillian 30 day shred on the top of my netflix, going to try it out before i buy it. It sounds great! I like that it is only 20 minutes. We'll see about doing it before work.. I am thinking after is probably more likely for me. For now at least. Especially since I work at 6am a lot. bleh.
I also wanted to tell you about this website I just joined - myfitnesspal.com. Have you heard of it? I saw it on the Today Show. You should check it out, I think you would like it. I used to have a body bugg, but I stopped using it because I was just lazy and didn't feel like paying the monthly fee once the 6 months was up. Excuses, excuses... I know. But this website is similar in that you can log your food and the database seems much larger and easier to use than the body bugg one (though it may have improved since I last used it). You can also log your exercise, even though its not quite as accurate as the monitor, it still gives you a good idea. But my favorite part about it is that you can have friends on it that you share your struggles, successes, ideas, recipes etc with! I just went on the forums and posted a little info about myself, and already have a few "friends" now who are in very similar situations to me that I can talk to. It also kind of has a facebook feel to it where you can write status updates, and it also shows your friends once you have completed your food log, and they can actually LOOK at it... I feel like having people on there that can actually look at what I do will make me come back more and hold me more accountable - don't want to let my internet friends down!! Plus I love that I can get good ideas from real people who have gone through/are going through the process of getting fit to help me along the way and keep me motivated... And it's free! (I am so cheap.)
Anyway, just thought I would share. Keep up the good work, you are so inspiring!
